Vila Vita Parc (Porches, Portugal)
Vila Vita Parc is a remarkable, luxurious beach resort in the Algarve in Portugal. We already visited the resort and its amazing restaurant Ocean in 2016, but went back in 2017 to spend a few more days on the spacious property.
Located on the beautiful Algarve coast, the resort features breathtaking surroundings, a beautiful secluded beach, several pools, no less than six bars and twelve restaurants, a wonderful spa, and different sport possibilities.
Vila Vita Parc is nestled at an oceanfront clifftop, amid 54 acres of subtropical gardens. A walk through the premises is a great experience to start your stay. The hillside location is unique and there are dozens of different areas to explore, from modern Ibiza-like lounge bars to lush gardens and infinity pools.
The rooms & design
The resort features 170 guestrooms, suites, and villas with private pools. All of the room types are elegant and luxurious, and boast great views on the beautiful surroundings or the Algarve coastline. Of course, all modern amenities like huge flat screen televisions and Wi-Fi access are available in all rooms. Each room type comes with special features such as a rooftop terrace or an exquisite Portuguese tile mosaic. The frontline rooms and suites feature breathtaking ocean views and great terraces. For the ultimate Vila Vita experience, opt for a private, spacious villa with your own pool. This year, we stayed in the beautiful Oasis Suite Premium Rooftop, a spacious suite with private rooftop terrace:
The staff consists out of more than 350 people and they will do everything they can to make your stay comfortable. Sustainability is important for Vila Vita Parc’s management and many of the products that are used for the food and drinks are produced in-house or on owned domains nearby.
To fill your days you can choose between a workout at the gym, a refreshing dip in one of the pools, a family yoga session, a trip on the private Vila Vita yacht, a round of golf, a body-sculpting at the HYPOXI®-Studio (the first and only of its kind in Portugal), or a relaxing spa treatment.
Food is considered a very important thing at Vila Vita Parc. With lo less than 12 restaurants, this resort offers something for everyone. Gastronomic restaurant Ocean is the 2* restaurant of Vila Vita Parc and features fine dining in a brilliant setting with stunning views on the ocean. You can discover all about our first meal here on this link. Both of our dinners here were impressive and Executive Chef Hans Neuner definitely is one of Portugal’s best chefs today. We visited the restaurant again in June 2017, here are some snapshots from the outstanding menu:
A new restaurant at the property is Mizu, a Japanese fine dining restaurant where guests enjoy the best of Japanese gastronomy in a Zen and relaxed atmosphere. The set menu ‘Mizu’s Teppanyaki’, paired with some premium saké’s, is highly recommended. We enjoyed a very interesting tasting menu at Mizu in June 2017:
The F&B policy at Vila Vita Parc is truly unique and only the best of the best is good enough. A good example is the Café Bica, a dedicated coffee bar where you will discover some of the world’s best coffees. A perfect spot to start your day with a Portuguese Bica coffee and a warm Pastel de Nata under the Portuguese sun.
Vila Vita Parc is one of our favorite places for a luxurious beach vacation in Portugal. The hotel simply has all the assets to make your stay unforgettable, from excellent gastronomy at restaurant Ocean to in-suite private dining, from a private beach to an infinity pool overlooking the ocean. The only problem: leaving when your holiday comes to an end…
