Restaurant Spaans Dak renovated their interior in August 2012. Time for a new visit & picture report!

The Food

Our next visit of Spaans Dak was on 24/08/2012. We chose the “Mediterranean menu”
(Menu prize: € 35,00 / With suitable wines – € 50,00).

Appetizers

Iberico ham, Parmesan, olive cake and cracker, tapenade, anchovies mayonnaise

Cod, brandade, nobashi, mussles, aïoli, fennel, pastis, bouillabaisse

Textures of goat cheese

Lime chocolate, mango, orange

The Wines

Kristof Uyttendaele presented some fine wines once again. With his current travels to the ‘Elzas’ and other wine regions, he’s presenting more and more original wines these days.

The “Belgian Taste Buds” Experience

The team at Spaans Dak continues their path of creativity. With the new interior, things got a lot fresher and modernity is the keyword these days! One could maybe argue that the cosiness is a bit reduced with the modern, white touches. However, the contemporary interior complements the modern food very well and takes the Spaans dak dining experience to another level!
